Alberta Reaches Number 1 on Suicide Statistics - October 1, 2005
This is not something to be proud of for Alberta. This is a good indicator that something is very wrong and something needs to be done immediately.
Life Does Not Have to End with Depression!
If you are feeling sad, alone, like a complete and utter failure, hopeless, or like you are just existing, you have come to the right site. Ground Zero Recovery Group was founded to help people get out of that place.
Because a person is suffering from a treatable mental illness does not mean they are INSANE. People tend to think of “mental illness” as the axe wielding psychotic, or the certifiable person in the insane asylum wearing the straight jacket, doped up on Lithium, and drooling uncontrollably. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Nor is it a true depiction of those who suffer from a TREATABLE mental illness (the operative word here being TREATABLE).
This is NOT a game, an issue to be trivialized, or something that can be “swept under the rug”. For those that are suffering, this is the difference between life and death!
Founder Paul Larsen has spent 22 years of his life in that place. He found sustainable and long term treatment solutions to his major depressive disorder without prescription medication (drugs). These solutions were born out of need to be applied in his own life, as these are not readily available through current resources. He has overcome substance abuse issues (13 years of sobriety), another symptom of the real problem, and has come out the other side with a toolbox FULL of easy to implement tools that ANYONE can use to get results and start feeling better IMMEDIATELY.
The toolset he uses provides long term and sustainable results.
Mr. Larsen has written several books on the subject of overcoming many of the treatable forms of depression. He shows his clients what has worked for him through actual experience, not from a text book.
Paul also uses his own real life experiences to train mental health and medical professionals alike.
Mr. Larsen has also taken a proactive approach to helping Human Resource Departments in the corporate environment. He sheds light on the growing problem of depression in the workplace, and provides a solid toolset for HR professionals to effectively reach out to their staff, and provide a clearly defined program of recovery.
